Biography
2022 – Senior: Started all 52 games at second base for the ‘Phins during his second full campaign on The Heights (2020 and 2021 seasons were both shortened) and hit second in the batting order … accumulated 49 hits, including 10 doubles, a triple and six home runs, 46 runs scored, 26 RBIs and 27 walks drawn … Carroll stole a team-best 14 bases in 17 attempts … ripped a two-RBI double in the fourth inning during Le Moyne’s win over Mercy (February 19) at the USA Baseball National Training Complex … launched a solo home run during a win over Saint Thomas Aquinas (February 25) … went 4-4 at the plate with a home run, a double, a walk, five runs scored and three RBIs during a win at Jefferson (March 14) … recorded two doubles, a single, two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases during the first half of a doubleheader against Saint Michael’s (March 26) … went 3-4 at the plate with a walk and three runs scored during a win against Southern Connecticut State (April 3) … hammered two home runs during the final game of the New Haven series (April 11), then provided two doubles and a home run during the first game of the American International series (April 15), which resulted in a Le Moyne win … Carroll provided a single, a double, two runs scored, and two runs batted in during game three against the Yellow Jackets (April 16) … tallied a combined eight hits, five runs scored, three RBIs, a home run, three walks and two stolen bases during the Pace series (May 5-6) … went 3-3 at the plate with a walk, a home run, four runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base during the regular season finale against the Setters (May 6) … provided a double, a single, an RBI and a stolen base during Le Moyne’s loss to Molloy (May 19) in the NCAA Championships East Regional … recorded a combined six putouts and six assists in 12 chances during the doubleheader against STAC (February 25) … tallied three putouts and four assists in seven chances during the win at Adelphi (May 1) … Carroll did not record an error in the final 12 games of the season
2021 – Junior: started 24 games and made 82 plate appearances during his third campaign on The Heights… delivered two hits, including a triple, stole two bases, scored three runs and drove in a run during a win at American International (April 6) … recorded three RBIs during a win against Saint Rose (April 10) … launched a homerun, ripped a single, scored two runs and drove in three more in a winning effort during the second half of a doubleheader against Saint Rose (April 13) … blasted his second home run of the season during a win against Adelphi (April 18), recording three runs scored, two hits and three RBI’s during the second game of a doubleheader… delivered three hits, stole two bases and scored two runs during a Northeast-10 Conference Tournament win against Saint Rose (May 11) … tallied two hits, scored a run and drove in another during a Northeast-10 Conference Tournament win against New Haven (May 13) … ripped a double, drew a walk and scored a run during a Northeast-10 Conference Tournament win against Adelphi (May 16). He was one of seven NE-10 players to make the All-Championship team for the Conference Tournament in 2021.
2020 – Sophomore: started seven games for the Dolphins during the pandemic-shortened season… delivered one hit, stole a base, scored a run, and drove in another during a win over Bridgeport (February 22)
2019 – Freshman: appeared in 24 games, including 17 starts in the infield for the Dolphins during his first collegiate season… conceded just two errors on the season, crafting a .974 fielding percentage… in his first career start for the Dolphins at Seton Hill (March 16) he delivered two hits, drew two walks, scored a run and drove in two others… recorded one hit, two walks, two runs scored and two runs batted in during a win at Mansfield (April 3) … drove in a season-high four RBIs in a win at Saint Rose (April 24) during which he also drew two walks, stole a base, delivered two hits and scored a run… stole two bases and scored a run during a win at American International (April 28)
Personal: Graduated from Christian Brothers Academy (Albany, NY) in 2018 where he won second team All-Suburban Council both his Junior and Senior years. As a Junior in 2017, Carroll led his team in doubles and was second in hits. Made the All-Star team for the North Division in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League (SFCBL) in the summer of 2021. Son of Larry and Tammy and has a younger brother, Brendan who attends Siena College.
