Sean Beney '18, M '20 is entering his fourth year on the Le Moyne Cross Country and Track Coaching staff, working primarily with the Mid and Long-Distance Athletes.
Beney graduated from Le Moyne College in 2018 with a B.S. in Business Analytics after a successful four-year career competing on the Cross Country and Track team, serving two years as Team Captain. Beney became the first Le Moyne athlete to qualify for the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championships in 2017, where he placed 67th in the field of over 250 of the top runners in Division II. Beney also became the first Dolphin runner to win a Northeast-10 Conference Championship in 2018, when he won the 10,000m by over 40 seconds. He still runs competitively post-college.
Beney worked as the team’s graduate assistant coach from 2018-20 while earning his Masters of Business Administration from the College. He has successfully completed the USTFCCCA course on Sports Science for Endurance Events, and holds a Track and Field Technical Certification through USTFCCCA.
