Javelin Throw - 41.48m / 136' 1" - St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic

2023-24 Outdoor: Sophomore - Anderson competed in four different meets during the 2023-24 outdoor track & field season, setting personal records in the 100m and throwing 41.48m in the javelin. His first meet he attended was the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite (Apr. 6) where he threw the javelin a distance of 38.81m and placing 10th overall. The following meet at the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14-15), Cyril set a personal record in the 100m with a time of 12.27 and placing 36th overall as well as throwing the javelin a distance of 39.39m, placing 12th overall. A week later he was back competing in the javelin throw at the UB Alumni Invitational (Apr. 20), throwing a distance of 38.68m. He wrapped up his 2023-24 outdoor season at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 27) where he set another personal record in the javelin throw with a distance of 41.48m and finishing 3rd overall, his best of the season.

2023-24 Indoor: Sophomore - In his second season with the Dolphins, Anderson competed in seven different meets, setting three personal records and finishing the season with two top-10 finishes. At the opening meet of the year, Cyril competed at the Greg Pages Relays & Multi (Dec. 1-2) throwing a personal best 6.61m in the weight throw finishing 22nd overall, 7.76m in the shot put finishing 22nd overall, and ran a 7.73 in the 60m event finishing 30th overall. The following meet at the West Point Open (Jan. 6), Anderson competed in the 60m with a time of 7.83 and finishing 13th overall. At the Southern Tier Invite (Jan. 13), he ran alongside teammates Evan Breitbeck, Joseph Pecoraro, and Terry Tillock during the 4X400 in a time of 3:47.89 and finishing 7th overall. He also ran the 200m in a time of 25.36 finishing 27th overall and in the 60m in a time of 7.78, also 27th overall. Cyril would set personal records at his next two meets, first at the Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi (Jan. 26) and at the Brockport Invitational & Multi (Feb. 2). Anderson set another personal record in the shot put, throwing a distance of 9.03m and finishing 37th overall. The following meet he earned a personal record in the 200m, running a time of 24.45 and finishing 33rd overall.

2022-23 Outdoor: Freshman - Cyril threw a personal best 8.13m (26' 8.25") in the shot put, while also throwing 30.50m (103' 4") for the Javeline throw at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. 

2022-23 Indoor: Freshman - Cyril ran a 7.62 in the 60m and a 39.18 in the 300m at the Greg Page 2022 Invitational, both personal bests. He also earned two PR's at the Spartan Invitational, running a 24.55 in the 200m and a 1:15.08 in the 500m.

Personal: Cyril Anderson graduated from Manchester High School in 2022 and is entering his sophomore year here at Le Moyne College. Anderson is a Chemistry major with a minor in Biology. His main event is the Javeline, while also competing in the 60m and 200m.
