2023-24 Outdoor: Junior - Breitbeck would compete in six different meets during the 2023-24 outdoor track & field season, setting a personal record in the 400m. The Dolphins competed in the West Point Army Open (Mar. 15-16) where he joined the trio of Spencer Zeltman, Jacob Cottet and Jake Roman in the 4x400, running a time of 3:41.71 and finishing 5th overall. Two weeks later at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational (Mar. 29-30), he ran the 800m in a time of 2:14.24, while also running the 1500m in a time of 4:32.07. At the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite (Apr. 6), Breitbeck competed in the 4x400, 1500m and the 800m. He would set a personal record at the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14-15) in the 400m, running a time of 56:54 and finishing 23rd overall. At the UB Alumni Invitational (Apr. 20), he ran the 800m in a time of 2:08.87 and finished 26th overall. He would end his season at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 27), where he competed in the 800m running a time of 2:06.12 as well as the 4x800, which finished with a time of 8:59.94 and finished 3rd overall.
2023-24 Indoor: Junior - During the 2023-24 indoor track & field season, Evan competed in eight different meets and set a personal record in the 1000m. The Dolphins opened their season at the Greg Pages Relays & Multi (Dec. 1-2), where he ran the Mile in a time of 4:49.80 and finishing 20th overall, as well as running the 4x800 in a time of 8:51.11 and finishing 4th overall. The following meet at the West Point Open (Jan. 6), he would compete in the Mile running in a time of 4:50.10 and finishing 7th overall. Breitbeck would set a personal record in the 1000m at the Southern Tier Invite (Jan. 13), running a time of 2:46.07 and finishing 6th overall. He also ran the 4x400 in a time of 3:47.89 and finished 7th overall. The next three meets, he would compete in the 4x400, the Mile and the 800m, with his best finishes coming at the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 9), a week before the Northeast Conference Championships. At the NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 18-19), Evan ran the Mile in a time of 4:47.58 and finished 21st overall in the preliminaries.
2022-23 Outdoor: Sophomore - Breitbeck would compete in five different events during the 2022-23 outdoor track & field season which included setting two personal records in the 1500m as well as the 800m. At the first meet of the season, the Geneseo Early Season Invitational (Apr. 2-3), he set a personal record running the 1500m in a time of 4:20.22 and finishing 53rd overall. The following meet, he would run the 800m in a time of 2:05.19 and finishing 20th overall at the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14-15). Evan would set another personal record at the Cortland Classic (Apr. 21-22) in the 800m, running a time of 2:03.28 and finishing 17th overall. He would also join Alex Colonno, Ryan McMahon and Maxwell Serling in the 4x800, which saw the quartet finish with a time of 8:51.16 and 2nd overall. At the final meet before the NE10 championships, Breitbeck ran the 800m in a time of 2:06.67 at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 29th). At the Northeast-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 5-6), he ran the 4x800 in a time of 8:11.75 and finishing 6th overall.Â
2022-23 Indoor: Sophomore - In his second season with the Dolphins, Evan competed in eight different meets while setting a personal record in the Mile. Opening the year at the Greg Page Relays (Dec. 3), Breitbeck joined the trio of Alex Colonno, Cyril Anderson and Jordan Johnson, running the 4x400 in a time of 3:54.03 and finishing 16th overall, while also running the Mile in a time of 4:45.65 and finishing 8th overall. The following meet at the West Point Open (Jan. 6), he also ran the 4x400 in a time of 3:54.00 and 9th overall, as well as the Mile in a time of 4:41.90. At the Spartan Invitational (Jan. 13), he ran the 800m in a time of 2:04.19 and 17th overall as well as the 4x400, which he ran in a time of 3:46.52. He would run those same events until the Brockport Multi (Feb. 3-4), where he set a personal record for the Mile, running in a time of 4:40.11 and finishing 14th overall. He would also run the DMR for the first time that season in a time of 11:42.41 and 5th overall. He would close out the season at the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 16-17) running the 4x800 in a time of 8:19.66, as well as the DMR in a time of 10:53.65, finishing both events in 8th.
2021-22 Outdoor: Freshman - Breitbeck competed in six different invitationals during the 2021-22 outdoor track season. His main events during the year were the 800m, 1500m, 4X400 and 4X800. His best finish this season came during the Hamilton College Continental Invitational during the 4X400, where he finished 2nd with a time of 3:35.09. Evan recorded four top-10 finishes during this season, including a 6th place finish in the 4X800 during the NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
2021-22 Indoor: Freshman -Â Evan competed in eight different invitationals during the 2021-22 indoor track season. During those meets, he competed in events such as the 800m, 1000m, mile, 4X400 and the 4X800. His best finish this season occurred during the Southern Tier Invite during the Southern Tier Invite, where he finished 2nd in the 4X400 with a time of 3:43.02. Breitbeck also finished 3rd that same race in the 1000m with a time of 2:47.83. He recorded six top-10 finishes during the 2021-22 indoor track season.
Personal: Evan Breitbeck was born to Dan and Bridget Breitbeck, graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, received the Le Moyne Heights Award, declared the C-NS Law Student of the Year and was a Section III Champion on multiple occurrences. Evan will be a Junior this year on the Heights. Breitbeck will be studying Political Science in the classroom and focusing on the Mid-Distance side of Track and Field. Breitbeck’s has earned PRs of 2:02 in the 800m and 4:42 in the 1600m. Evan has a sister, Ava, who attends Syracuse University.
