2023-24 Indoor: Senior - Bartolotta competed in seven different meets during the 2023-24 Indoor Track & Field season, which included three top-10 finishes, in his first season at the Division I level. Opening the year at the Greg Pages Relays & Multi (Dec. 1-2), Bartolotta competed in the 3000m, running in a time of 9:33.33 and finishing 15th overall. At the following meet, the Southern Tier Invite (Jan. 13), Matt ran in the 3000m in a time of 9:41.37 and finishing 11th overall. A week later, the Dolphins traveled to the Hamilton Continental Invitational (Jan. 19), where he ran the 5000m in a time of 16:26.79 and finishing 2nd overall. At the Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi (Jan. 26-27), Bartolotta ran the 3000m in a time of 9:19.04 and finishing 7th overall. The following week at the Brockport Invitational & Multi (Feb. 2-3), Matt set a personal record in the 3000m, running a time of 9:18.30 and finishing 25th overall. Bartolotta would earn a first-place finish at the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 9) in the 3000m with a time of 9:24.96. At his first Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 18-19), Bartolotta competed in the 5000m, earning a time of 15:54.55 and finishing 16th overall.
2023-24 Outdoor: Senior - Matt competed in six different meets during the 2023-24 Outdoor Track & Field Season, which included two top-10 finishes and one new personal record. At the opening event of the new season, Bartolotta and the Dolphins traveled to compete in the West Point Army Open (Mar. 15-16), where he would run the 5000m event in a time of 16:52.61 and finishing 10th overall. The following meet, the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite (Apr. 6), Bartolotta would compete in two events, running the 800m in a time of 2:14.0 and 35th overall and the 1500m in a time of 4:22.5 and finishing 21st overall. A week later Bartolotta was back in action as the Dolphins traveled to the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14-15), where he would run the 5000m in a time of 15:44.39 and finishing 3rd overall. Matt set a new personal record at the UB Alumni Invite (Apr. 20) in the 5000m, running a time of 15:41.27 and finishing 11th overall. One week ahead of the championships, the 'Phins went to compete in the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 27). Bartolotta ran the 4X800 with teammates Jack Gibson, Jake Roman and Jacob Maklouf in a time of 8:37.78 and finishing 2nd overall. He would also compete in the 1500m running a time of 4:22.74 and finishing 17th overall. At the Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4-5) Bartolotta ran the 5000m in a time of 15:41.82 and finishing 24th overall.
2022-23 Outdoor: Junior - Bartolotta participated in three events during the 2022-23 outdoor season, competing in the 800m and the 5000m. He had two 7th place finishes, both in the 5000 event. His best time for the 5000 occurred during the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic, where he ran the event with a time of 15:59.35.Â
2022-23 Indoor: Junior -Â Matt competed in five different invitationals during the 2022-23 indoor, taking part in events such as the 800m, 4X400, 3000m, 5000m, and the mile. His best finish this season came during the Winter Welcome Back Invitational where he finished 2nd in the 5000m with a time of 16:15.13. During the West Point Open, he competed in the mile and finished with a time of 4:51.93, a personal best.Â
2021-22 Outdoor: Sophomore - Bartolotta ran in six different invitationals during the outdoor season, competing in events such as the 800m, 1500m, 4X400, 4X800 and the 5000. His best finish during the season occurred during the Cortland Red Dragon Open & Multi Invitational, where he competed in the 4X400, finishing in 5th place with a time of 3:43.09. He also competed in the NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, participating in the 5000 where he ran a time of 15:56.12, a personal best.
2021-22 Indoor: Sophomore -Â Matt competed in five different Invitationals, competing in the 800m, 1000m, 4x400, and the mile. At the Brockport Multi Invitational, he finished 3rd in the 4X400 with a time of 3:40.63, his best finish that season. He also competed in the 1000m race at the Deneault Invitational, earning a time of 2:47.45, a personal best in that event.
2020-21 Outdoor: Freshman - Bartolotta competed in five different invitationals, competing in the 800m,1500m, 4X400 and the 4x800. At The Cortland Challenge, he competed in the 1500m with a time of 4:11.78, a personal best. In The Cortland Conference Qualifier, he competed in the 800m with a time of 1:59.81, also a personal best. Matt had five top 3 finishes throughout the 2021 outdoor season, including a 1st place finish in the 1500m at The Cortland Challenge.
2020-21 Indoor: Freshman -Â Covid Season (cancelled).
Personal: Matthew Joseph Bartolotta graduated from West Genesee High School in 2020 and is in his Senior year as a Dolphin. Matthew studies Computer Science in the classroom, focuses on the distance side of Track and Field and runs Cross Country. Matt focuses on the 800m and the 1500m on the Track.
