2023-24 Outdoor: Freshman - Cooper competed in seven different meets during the 2023-24 outdoor track & field season. The Dolphins opened their season at the West Point Army Open (Mar. 15) where he set a personal record in the 800m with a time of 2:04.49, ran the 1500m in a time of 4:15.78, and the 4x400 in 3:44.99. The following meet at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational (Mar. 30), Cooper ran the 5000m in a time of 15:39.85 and finished 28th overall. At the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite (Apr. 6), Tyler ran the 800m in a time of 2:14.13, the 1500m in 4:15.54, and the 4x400 in 3:40.19. Tyler set a personal record at the Brockport Multi & Invitational (Apr. 14) in the 1500m, where he completed the race in a time of 4:08.44 and finished 6th overall. The Dolphins traveled to Buffalo to partake in the UB Alumni Invite (Apr. 20), where Cooper ran the 5000m in a time of 15:46.83 and placing 14th overall. A week later, Cooper ran the 800m at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic (Apr. 27) with a time of 2:05.77, while also running the 4x800 in a time of 8:29.50. At the NEC Championships (May 4), Cooper set a personal record in the 5000 with a time of 15:19.13 and placing 16th overall. 

2023-24 Indoor: Freshman - Tyler competed in seven different meets during his freshman year with the Dolphins. Opening the year at the West Point Open (Jan. 6), Cooper ran the mile in a time of 4:50.90 and finished 9th overall. The following meet at the Southern Tier Invite (Jan. 13), he ran the 3000m in a time of 9:44.79 and finished 13th overall. At the Hamilton Continental Invitational (Jan. 19), he ran the mile in a time of 4:41.79 finishing 4th overall and the 4x400 in a time of 3:48.69 and 6th overall. Cooper would run in the 5000m at the Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi (Jan. 26) in a time of 16:25.80 while also running the 4x400 in a time of 3:54.25. He set a personal record at the Brockport Invitational & Multi (Feb. 2) crossing the line at 9:27.79 and finishing 28th overall. Ahead of the NEC Championships, Cooper and the Dolphins traveled to RIT to compete in the RIT February Friday Invitational (Feb. 9) where he would run a time of 3:43.21 and placed 2nd overall. At his first NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 18), Tyler set a personal record in the mile running a time of 4:37.47 and placing 15th overall, while also running the DMR in a time of 10:42.28 and placing 8th overall.
