Biography

McKayla Melissa Capeling, daughter of Mary and Dan Capeling, is a middle distance runner from Bridgeport, New York. Capeling graduated from Chittenango High School in 2021, where she was named to the high honor roll each year. Capeling is a nursing major with a minor in psychology.

    During highschool, Capeling was named to the First Team All League as a sophomore and the Second Team All League her freshman, junior, and senior years. She was a part of a 4x800 meter relay team that won their sectional championship three times and qualified to run at the New York State Championship in 2019.

    Capeling has three siblings - Meghan of the University of Michigan, Michelle of Le Moyne College and Upstate University, and Michael of Binghamton University.
