Lavelle is entering her third season with the Dolphins in 2021-22.
A native of Fayetteville, Lavelle graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2014. In 2013 and 2014, she was named IWLCA Defender of the Year and to the IWLCA All-America First Team. In 2013, Lavelle was the first defender to be named SUNYAC tournament MVP. She was also a two-time NCAA Division III Final Four All-Tournament Team selection. In 2014, she served as a Captain of her team and in the same year was named the C-Club Female Athlete of the Year. Lavelle was a three-year starter on defense and recorded 163 caused turnovers and 184 ground balls throughout her career. During Lavelle’s time at Cortland, the Red Dragons registered an 84-7 record, won four SUNYAC Championships and made four Division III Semifinal appearances. In the Summer of 2020, Lavelle was named to the SUNYAC All-Decade Team.
Lavelle started her coaching career in 2015-2016 by serving as a volunteer assistant at Syracuse University. She then was an assistant coach at the University of Vermont from 2016-2018.
Along with her current role at Le Moyne, she is a Commercial Real Estate Agent at Pyramid Brokerage Company.
