Liz Beville was named the sixth head women's lacrosse coach in program history on August 19, 2019.

In the women’s lacrosse program’s return to Division I in 2024, Beville guided the Dolphins to a 9-9 overall record. The ‘Phins went 8-2 in conference play which included back-to-back overtime wins against Sacred Heart and Stonehill to start NEC action. In her final season on the Heights, Lilly Locastro set the program record for most caused turnovers in a season with 47 and was honored as a first-team all-conference selection. Three other Dolphins earned NEC All-Conference accolades.
At the Division II level, Beville and the Dolphins went 50-10 from 2020-2023. Beville led 26 Dolphins to all-conference honors, 14 to all-region recognition and nine to all-America status.
The Dolphins went 4-0 in 2020 prior to the season being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She then guided the 'Phins to a 13-1 record during the 2021 season, including a 12-0 record in the regular season to win the NE10 Southwest Division championship, the program's sixth NE10 regular season title. For her efforts, she was named the NE10 Coach of the Year, while three Dolphins combined for four NE10 major awards as 10 Dolphins were honored by the conference. After six Dolphins received IWLCA East Region honors, three were named IWLCA All-America selections.
The 2022 season saw the Dolphins go 15-6, including 10-3 in NE10 action, and advance to the NE10 Championship Game for the ninth time, while the team earned its 12th NCAA Championships berth. The team had five all-conference selections, three all-region honorees and a trio of all-Americans.
In the program’s final season in Division II, the Dolphins went 18-3, including 11-1 in NE10 play, and captured their third NE10 tournament championship and appeared in the NCAA Championships for the 13th time. The team featured nine all-conference honorees, five all-region selections and a trio of all-Americans.
Beville currently serves on the IWLCA Board of Directors as Secretary. She previously served as a Division II representative from 2021-2023.
Additionally, she has served on the coaching staff for the Haudenosaunee national team since 2021 as either the head coach or an assistant. With Beville as the head coach, the Haudenosaunee won the gold medal at the inaugural PALA Sixes Cup in September 2021, placed eighth of 29 teams at the 2022 World Lacrosse Championship (an improvement of four spots from the 2017 Championship) and seventh at the 2022 World Games (scheduled for 2021 but moved due to the Olympics). She was an assistant coach for the gold medal-winning team at the 2023 PALA Sixes Cup. She helped lead the Haudenosaunee to the bronze medal and a berth in the 2026 World Championships at the 2025 PALA World Championship Qualifier.
A native of Jamesville, Beville came to Le Moyne after serving the 2019 season as the interim head coach at Colgate University. She was hired as an assistant coach on August 10, 2018 and was named the interim head coach on January 25, 2019. Beville guided the Raiders to an 8-10 record, including a mark of 5-4 in Patriot League action. The Raiders earned the fifth seed in the Patriot League Tournament and went on to upset Boston University in the first round for the program's first Patriot League tournament victory since 2011 and their first berth into the semifinals since 2015. Beville mentored four student-athletes to Patriot League All-Conference honors, while two earned Patriot League All-Tournament Team recognition. Additionally, 22 members of the team earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades and one was selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
Beville arrived at Colgate after spending the 2017-18 academic year as an assistant coach at Division II Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Mavericks went 12-4 on the season, including a 7-2 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), and advanced to the RMAC Championship semifinals. The four losses came to the two teams who would go on to meet in the NCAA Midwest Regional championship game, Regis University and Lindenwood University. Five Mavericks earned All-RMAC honors, including a pair on the first team. The Mavericks placed 12 student-athletes on the RMAC All-Academic Team, including three on the First Team.
Prior to her time at Colorado Mesa, Beville spent two years as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland. The Red Dragons went 35-6 and won two SUNYAC Tournament championships over the two seasons, while earning their sixth straight Division III semifinal appearance in 2016, when Cortland finished the season 21-1. In 2016, the Red Dragons had the SUNYAC Player of the Year, IWLCA Midfielder of the Year and the Inside Lacrosse Co-Rookie of the Year as well as six all-conference selections, six all-region honorees and three all-America selections, while nine earned all-academic honors. In 2017, Beville mentored the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year along with five all-conference selections, two all-region honorees and one all-America selection, while 16 Red Dragons earned all-academic team recognition.
Beville started her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach for one season at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Mules posted a 9-7 record, earned their first-ever postseason home game and had two all-conference team selections and one all-region honoree, while two student-athletes earned Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition.
Beville played four years collegiately at SUNY Cortland, where she served as team captain and was a Dean's List student. The Red Dragons, under the direction of former Le Moyne head coach Kathy Taylor, registered an 84-7 record, won four SUNYAC Championships and made four Division III Semifinal appearances.
Beville, whose father, Steve, was the head coach of the men's lacrosse team at Cortland for 17 years and whose sister, Lauren, played at NE10-foe Franklin Pierce from 2012-16, graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Education in Physical Education in 2014 and earned her Masters of Sport Management in 2016.
