Donahue joined the staff as the program’s first full-time assistant coach in August 2023.
Donahue comes to Le Moyne following three seasons as an assistant coach at East Carolina University. The Pirates recorded a five-win improvement from year one to year two and then went 10-8 in 2023, while finishing 3-3 in conference play, and making the AAC Tournament for the second season in a row. Two members collected 2023 AAC First-Team honors and four others earned Second-Team recognition, while a pair were tabbed IWLCA All-Region. During the regular season, the Pirates earned six AAC Player of the Week recognitions.
In 2022, Donahue guided a Pirates offense which scored the most total team points, goals and assists in a single season in program history. Frances Kimel broke the individual points and assists single-season records while Leah Bestany scored the most goals in a season in program history.
A native of Camillus, Donahue was a four-year starter at Syracuse University and finished her career ranked ninth on the school’s all-time scoring list with 227 points and seventh in career goals (143) and assists (83). She served as team captain as a junior and senior.
Donahue was named second-team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association in 2017 as a junior after she led Syracuse in points (68), goals (42) and assists (26). She was also named first-team All-Northeast Region and second-team All-ACC following the season.
She also received all-region honors as a senior and sophomore, collecting first-team honors as a sophomore. As a freshman she was part of the Orange’s 2015 ACC Championship squad and helped SU to four NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the semifinals in 2016.
Donahue was twice nominated for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award, which is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding collegiate men’s and women’s lacrosse players.
She also completed an internship as the Director of Operations for Syracuse women's lacrosse, organizing camps and clinics during the summers of 2016 and 2017.
A three-time member of the ACC All-Academic Team, she earned a Bachelor of Science in information management and technology from Syracuse in 2018.
