Biography
2022: Junior: Placed 1st at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational in the 5000 with a time of 20:18.69. Had five top 10 finishes for individual races. Had a career best in the 10,000 with a time 40:52.31 and placed 3rd.
2021- Sophomore: Had two top 5 finishes for individual races.
2020- Freshman: Season cut short due to the pandemic.
Personal: Camryn Ashleigh Cortez, daughter of Karen and Don Cortez, is a 2019 graduate of Westhill High School. During her time at Westhill, Cortez ran indoor and outdoor track and played tennis. Cortez achieved honor roll each year, was granted excellence in science, was inducted into the National Honor Society, and was in the top ten of her class. She was named to the Second Team All League for both tennis and outdoor track.
Cortez joined the outdoor track team at Le Moyne as a distance runner for the 2021 season, making the NE-10 championship in the 5k. She ran 20:44 to score 17th overall.
