Biography
Madison Ann Kozyra, daughter of Christine and David Kozyra, is a biology major and 2020 graduate of Whitesboro High School. During her time at Whitesboro, Kozyra was inducted into the National Honor Society and was awarded the New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit and the Clarkson University High School Leadership Award. Aside from throwing for the track team, Kozyra also played basketball during her freshman and sophomore years of high school. She was a 2-time Mohawk Valley all-star, holds 8 sectional titles, and holds 4 records at her high school.
As a phin, Kozyra placed 2nd at the NE-10 Conference championship in the discus, 2nd in the shot put, and 6th in the hammer throw. These exceptional rankings lead to Kozyra being named the NE-10 Conference’s Most Outstanding Field Performer. She holds the Le Moyne records for shot put and discus with throws of 12.84 meters and 40.02 meters, respectively.
