Craig Lane ‘07 is in his 17th year as a member of the athletic department staff and 10th as the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Communications after receiving a promotion on July 1, 2015. In this role, Lane is a member of the department's senior leadership team and is responsible for the media relations, statistics, website maintenance and game management for the department's 21 sports. Lane served as the Assistant Director of Sports Information from August 2008 until his promotion.
Prior to the College's transition to Division I, Lane served as a member of the D2SIDA men's basketball East Region Top 10 committee for seven years, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) East Region Top 10 and All-Region committee for six years, the USILA Team of the Week committee for three years and the NCAA East Region Women's Golf Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) for four years.
Prior to returning to Le Moyne in 2008, Lane was an athletic media relations assistant at the University at Albany for one year. At UAlbany, he was the athletic media relations contact for the men's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field, women's golf and baseball programs.
A native of Morrisville, N.Y., Lane is a 2007 graduate of Le Moyne College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing. As a student, Lane assisted in the sports information office each of his four years on campus. Lane traveled as the sports information contact for the Division II Softball National Championships in 2005 and 2006, the men's soccer team's appearance in the NCAA New England Regional in 2005 and the Division II Men's Lacrosse National Championship games in 2006 and 2007. Lane also accompanied the men's and women's basketball teams as the sports information contact for road games as a junior and senior.
Lane resides in Syracuse with his wife, Ann '12, and daughters, Rosalie and Hannah.
