STATESBORO, Ga. - Michigan scored five times in the bottom of the fourth in a 9-4 win over Le Moyne at Georgia Southern. Keith Connors (Jamesport, N.Y./Commack) had two of Le Moyne's six hits and Brian Hansen (Endicott, N.Y./Chenango Valley) blasted a three-run home run. The Dolphins were 2-1 at the GSU invite and 3-5 on the spring trip.
Michigan (3-4) scored two runs in the second and tacked on five more in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead over the Dolphins. The Wolverines scored two more in the fifth inning to extend their lead to 9-0.
Hansen's three-run home run accounted for all three Le Moyne runs in the top of the sixth. Michael Affronti (Dix Hills, N.Y./Commack) drew a walk and Ben Gaal (Manlius, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) doubled to set up Hansen's three run shot for the Dolphins.
In the Corey O'Neill (Pittsford, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) doubled, moved to third and scored on a Chris Haynes (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) flyout in the ninth. The sacrifice fly was the freshman's first collegiate run batted in.
Le Moyne returns to action on Friday at Ohio University. Connors leads the club with a .433 batting average after the spring trip, while Affronti (.424) has a team-best 14 hits.
