ROTTERDAM, N.Y. - Sophomore Sarah Reed (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) won the opener and classmate Emma Murphy (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) homered twice in the nightcap to help Le Moyne to a doubleheader sweep over Saint Rose (3-15, 2-4 NE-10) in Rotterdam. The Dolphins (15-9, 7-1 Northeast-10) have won 11 of their last 12 games, including seven of their first eight league contests.
Reed struck out five and allowed five hits in the 4-2 opening game win. Melissa Quimby (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville) doubled home two runs and scored another to key a three-run second inning.
Murphy blasted a three-run home run in the top of the first to key an 8-2 win in the second game. She ripped a solo shot in the sixth, her fourth round-tripper of the season.
Le Moyne travels to Manchester, N.H. for a 3 p.m. doubleheader with Southern New Hampshire on Thursday.
