SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne extended its baseball winning streak to ten consecutive games with a 5-3 win in the opener, but James Kingsley drove in four runs in the second game as Buffalo topped the Dolphins 6-3. Le Moyne (27-12) returns to action on Saturday at Niagara.
In the opener, sophomore outfielder Robby Perez (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) went 3-for-3 and knocked in one run. Keith Connors (Jamesport, N.Y./Commack), Stephen Crawford (Webster, N.Y./Finger Lakes CC) and Brian Hansen (Endicott, N.Y./Chenango Valley) had two hits each. Hansen singled in one run in the third and doubled home one run in the fifth inning.
Kingsley drove in all three Buffalo (13-30) runs. He singled home Brad Agustin in the first for the first Buffalo run and Kingsley's 200th career hit. Kingsley belted a two-run home run to right center in the fifth to pull the Bulls within one run.
Freshman Brian Pullyblank (Caledonia, N.Y./Caledonia-Mumford) allowed three runs on just three hits in five and 1/3 innings for his second win. Ryan Woods (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood) pitched the final one and 2/3 innings for his fifth save.
Kingsley provided more firepower for the Bulls in the second game as he drove in the first four runs. He blasted a three-run home run in the top of the first to push Buffalo out to a 3-0 lead. Kingsley made it 4-0 with an RBI single in the second inning. Kingsley, Brad Agustin, Carl Aquila, Mike Folli and David Amaro had two hits each for the Bulls.
Sophomore second baseman Andy Parrino (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) had three hits for Le Moyne. Michael Affronti (Dix Hills, N.Y./Commack) and Phil St. Amant (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) had two hits each. St. Amant homered and knocked in all three Le Moyne runs.
