BASEBALL DEFEATS ALBANY 7-3; DOLPHINS HAVE WON 20 OF THEIR LAST 22 GAMES

Albany, N.Y. - The Le Moyne Dolphins improved their record on the season to 28-17 with a 7-3 defeat of Albany on Tuesday at Varsity Field. The non-conference affair was called after 8 2/3 innings due to rain. Albany drops to 23-35 on the season. 

The Dolphins were led on offense by Mike Brown (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) who delivered three hits for Le Moyne. Stephen Crawford (Webster, N.Y. /Eastridge) and Alex Del Valle (Miami, Fla. /Columbus) chipped in with two hits each to pace an attack that scored seven runs and connected for 12 hits. Ben Gaal (Manlius, N.Y. /Christian Brothers Academy) also connected for his fourth home run of the season to drive in two runs.

Four Le Moyne pitchers would contribute on the mound for the victory. Brandon Otto (North Syracuse, N.Y. / Cicero-North Syracuse) would receive the decision for the Dolphins and to pick up his second victory of the season.

The Dolphins will return to Dick Rockwell field on Thursday and Friday for their final MAAC series of the season with Iona. Thursday's double header is slated for noon.
