SYRACUSE, NY -The Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team defeated Saint Michael's in the Northeast 10 Conference Tournament semifinals 15-5 on Friday at the Niland Athletic Complex. The victory improves the Dolphins' record to 12-2, while Saint Michael's falls to 9-6. With the victory, the #2 seeded 1:00 pm.
Le Moyne was led by Brian Cost (Camillus, N.Y. /West Genesee) who tallied five goals on the day. Nick Gatto Syracuse, N.Y. /Henninger) and Mike McDonald /Latham, N.Y. (Shaker) each scored two and six other Dolphins notched a goal to round out the attack. Tom Donahue (Syracuse, N.Y. /West Genesee) dished out a team-high four assists, while registering one goal.
Sunday's championship game will be a rematch from an earlier game this season where Bryant defeated Le Moyne in overtime 9-8 on March 24th. The Bulldogs ended Le Moyne's 70 game conference winning streak in the process. The Dolphins look to avenge the defeat and capture their seventh consecutive tournament championship.
