ROBBY PEREZ & AARON DIFRUSCIO LEAD DOLPHINS WITH CLUTCH HITTING

SYRACUSE, NY-The Le Moyne College Dolphins took two more games from the Cornell Big Red today at Dick Rockwell Field. The scheduled double header was a pair of seven inning games. Clutch hitting in game one of the double header was sparked by Robby Perez and Aaron DiFruscio. The game was knotted at three by a Perez RBI run tying single through the box in the bottom of the sixth inning. Following Perez's at bat, DiFruscio's pinch hit RBI single turned out to be the game winning hit. The double header sweep improves the Dolphins to 16-16. The Big Red fall to 10-19 on the season.

It was freshman Jeff Tardiff's dominant performance that allowed the Dolphins comeback. Tardiff allowed three runs through six complete innings of work. Sophomore Luke Nellis came in for his third save this season.

Senior's Robby Perez and Corey O'Neill, along with sophomore Chris Edmondson collected multi-hit games.

In game two junior Brandon Otto pitched three scoreless innings allowing only one hit. His impressive outing kept the Dolphins within striking distance. Sophomore Tom McDermott would pick up the win in relief. Nellis would recieve his second save of the day. The Dolphins scattered four hits throughout the scheduled seven inning game. The only run production came from wild pitches from the arm of Cornell's Mike Carroll. With senior Phil St. Amant at the plate, consecutive wild pitches scored Crawford and Nandin.
