Syracuse, N.Y. – Zach Tanner had a pair of run-scoring hits in the first two innings to lead Wright State to a 7-0 win over the Le Moyne College baseball team on Sunday afternoon at Dick Rockwell Field.

The Raiders got the only runs they would need on three hits in the first inning. Second baseman Sam Picchiotti led off with a single to the left side of the infield. Following a pair of strikeouts, a stolen base by Picchiotti and a wild pitch, right fielder Tristan Moore singled to right center to drive in Picchiotti. Tanner followed with a double to right center to knock in Moore.

In the second inning, Wright State added five runs on two hits and two Le Moyne errors. Center fielder Ryan Ashe walked and shortstop Justin Kopale was hit by a pitch to open the inning. On a bunt by designated hitter Kody Krizman, Ashe advanced to third on a throwing error by the pitcher, while Kopale was thrown out by the left fielder after over-running second base. Picchiotti then reached on an error by the third baseman, allowing Ashe to score. After left fielder Dan Marsh was hit by a pitch, first baseman Jake Hibberd doubled to left field to drive in Krizman and Picchiotti. Moore then flied out to the center fielder to knock in Marsh. Tanner followed with a single up the middle to plate Hibberd with the game's final run.

Senior right-hander Jeff Tardiff (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) suffered his second loss of the year after allowing seven runs (two earned) on six hits over six innings pitched, while striking out five batters. Max Friedman improved to 3-1 on the season after tossing five scoreless innings, while recording six strikeouts.

Le Moyne (9-22), which failed to score for the first time in 13 games, returns to action on Tuesday with a doubleheader against Cornell at 2:00 p.m
