#1 WOMEN'S LACROSSE CRUISES TO 13-1 VICTORY AT SAINT MICHAEL'S

Colchester, Vt. – Senior All-American midfielder Brittany Brigandi (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/UMass) recorded six points to lead the top-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 13-1 win at Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon at Duffy Field.

The Dolphins, who scored the first 13 goals of the game, opened the scoring 55 seconds into the game as junior attacker Brenna Bauer (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) finished off a pass from Brigandi. Just under four and one-half minutes later, junior attacker Kelly Condon (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) found the back of the net for the seventh time this year. Freshman midfielder Anna Daucher (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) tallied her second goal of the campaign with 21:49 left off a pass from Bauer.

Le Moyne then scored three goals in a span of 52 seconds. Sophomore attacker Kathleen Conese (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) registered her seventh goal of season with 18:53 remaining in the half. Brigandi netted her first goal of the day 26 seconds later off a pass from freshman attacker Sam Yaro (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker). Brigandi converted a free-position shot at the 18:01 mark for a 6-0 Le Moyne lead.

Junior midfielder Gabrielle Kamide (Deferiet, N.Y./Carthage) beat the goalkeeper with 15:17 left off a feed from Condon for her ninth goal of the season. Brigandi then scored her 19th marker of the year with 12:32 after taking a pass from senior midfielder Stephanie Dussing (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden).

Following seven minutes of scoreless action, Condon netted her second goal of the day off a pass from sophomore midfielder Jennifer Fabian (Clay, N.Y./C.W. Baker) with 5:23 left. Just over two minutes later, Kamide gave the Dolphins a 10-goal lead following a feed from Brigandi. The duo reversed roles with 24 seconds left in the half to take an 11-0 lead into the intermission.

Daucher finished off a pass from classmate Catie McKay (Penfield, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) at the 20:05 of the second half for her third goal in the last two games. Fabian registered an unassisted goal with 16:38 left in the game to complete Le Moyne's scoring.

Eliza Scoba scored with 13:51 remaining in the game to get the Purple Knights on the scoreboard.

Senior goalkeeper Kelly Fucillo (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) stopped the only shot she needed to in the first half to pick up the win. Freshman goalkeeper Molly Marbut">Molly Marbut (Edgewater, Md./South River) made five saves in the second half in her collegiate debut. Sandy Palumbo made 13 saves in taking the loss for the Purple Knights.

Le Moyne (5-0, 2-0 NE-10) returns home to face Assumption on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
