New Haven opened the game with 12 of the first 14 points over the opening 9:51 of play. Five different Chargers made baskets in the stretch, including a pair from Rykema Stone.

After going almost eight minutes without a point, the Dolphins posted an 8-3 run over a span of 51 seconds to cut their deficit to five. Junior forward Bath-Sheba McMahon (Queens, N.Y./Grambling Laboratory (La.)/Weatherford College) started the run with a conventional three-point play, sophomore forward Lauren Price (Humble, Texas/Atascocita) followed with a jumper and then Pucello buried a three-pointer.

Following back-to-back lay-ups by junior forward Emily Greer (Corry, Pa./Corry) that got the Dolphins within 20-14 with 3:59 left in the half, the Chargers ended the half with nine of the last 10 points. Moore hit a three-pointer, Duncanson made a lay-up, Stone converted a jumper and then Hayes closed out the scoring with a lay-up to make the score 29-15 at halftime.

The teams opened the second half by splitting the first 20 points over a stretch of 5:28. Brown led the Dolphins in the span with five points, while Hayes had four for the Chargers.

After a Hayes lay-up with 14:32 left gave New Haven a 39-25 advantage, the Dolphins scored eight straight points to get within six with 12:06 left, but could not cut into their deficit any further. McMahon started the run with a jumper and Brown followed with three straight lay-ups.

New Haven answered with a 7-0 run to regain control of the game. Duncanson began the spurt with a leaner in the paint and then Bradford nailed a three-pointer and made a lay-up to push the margin back to 13 with 9:27 remaining.

The Dolphins were able to trim New Haven's lead to eight on a pair of occasions with less than three minutes left, the last of which came on a lay-up by graduate student guard Kayla Stroman">Kayla Stroman (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/Niagara) with 2:14 left, but the Chargers went 15-of-16 from the foul line over the final 2:23 to put the game away. Bradford and Cruso were each 6-of-6, while Hayes went 3-for-4.

Le Moyne (3-1, 0-1 NE-10), which dropped to 1-5 against New Haven in West Haven since the Chargers joined the NE-10 prior to the 2008-09 season, returns to action on Saturday at The College of Saint Rose at 1:30 p.m.
