The Owls scored the only runs they would need on three hits and one Le Moyne error in the bottom of the third inning. After shortstop Ethan Joyce and center fielder Matt Burns singled with one out, second baseman Nick Baviello singled to drive in Joyce. Third baseman T.K. Southern Connecticut State added four runs on three hits in the fourth inning. Right fielder Kyle Holland walked with one out, stole second and then came around to score on a single by Joyce. After Burns singled and Baviello was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Kiernan singled to drive in Joyce and Burns. Baviello then scored on a double-steal with Kiernan.

The Owls tacked on a run on two hits and two Le Moyne errors in the seventh inning. Designated hitter Joe Breen reached on an error by the shortstop and then advanced to third on an error by the right fielder on a catcher T.J. Shea single. After a groundout, Holland singled to knock in Breen.
