The Skyhawks recorded a 4-2 victory in the opening game.
The Dolphins scored the only runs they would need in the nightcap in the first inning on two hits. After Claflin singled up the middle with one out, sophomore third baseman Kirsten Trotta (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. Dupont) launched a two-out, two-run homer over the fence in right center.

After moving to third on a groundout, Reynolds scored on a passed ball with two outs.
The Dolphins finished off the game's scoring in the fifth inning with one run without getting a hit.
