WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO STONEHILL, 4-0, IN SEASON FINALE

Easton, Mass. – Meagan Elliott registered a hat trick in her final collegiate game to lead Stonehill College to a 4-0 win over Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action at Skyhawk Field on Saturday afternoon.

Elliott scored the only goal her team would need just over 11 minutes into the contest. Off a pass from the left endline across the box by Madalyn Fernbach, Elliott placed a shot into the right corner of the net for her first goal of the season.

Le Moyne recorded a 4-2 advantage in shots the remainder of the half, but could not net the equalizer.

Just under 20 minutes into the seconds half, the Skyhawks doubles their lead. Taylor Shannahan, whose sister Kelsey was an all-American for the Skyhawks women's lacrosse team, sent a pass to the top of the box to Andrea Mancuso, who fired a shot into the upper left corner of the goal for her team-best third tally of the campaign.

Stonehill pushed its lead to 3-0 in the 71s minute as Fernbach and Elliott connected again. Fernbach fed a pass through the defense to Elliott, who eluded the goalkeeper before slipping a shot into the open net.

The Skyhawks finished off the game's scoring with 1:24 left as Elliott took a pass from Meghan Thomasch on the right side of the box and fired a shot into the left corner to complete her hat trick.

Senior goalkeeper Tori Corsaro (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) registered nine saves, including five in the second half, in her 63rd and final collegiate appearance between the pipes. She finishes her career with the most shutouts (13) and ties (9) in the program's history, the third-most wins (19), sixth-most saves (315), the fourth-best goals against average (1.64) and the 14th-most starts (61).

Jamie Block stopped the only shot she faced to earn the win for the Skyhawks. Stonehill registered a 21-6 advantage in shots, including a mark of 14-2 in the second half, while taking all nine of the game's corner kicks.

Le Moyne finishes the season with an overall record of 4-12-1, including a mark of 3-10-1 in conference play.
