Syracuse, N.Y. – Staci Barrett converted a lay-up with 0.3 seconds left to give The College of Saint Rose a 52-51 come-from-behind victory over the Le Moyne College women's basketball team on Wednesday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Court.
With the victory, Saint Rose trimmed its deficit in the year-long "Upstate Challenge" between the two institutions to 5.0-4.5. The second half of the women's basketball point will be decided in Albany on February 3. In the first four years of the "Upstate Challenge", the women's basketball point has been split twice, while Le Moyne and Saint Rose have each captured the whole point once.

Salzbrenner pushed Le Moyne's lead back to five with a three-pointer with 3:57 left, but that would be Le Moyne's only basket of the quarter as the Dolphins were 1-for-7 from the field in the stanza and committed six turnovers.
The Golden Knights got a free throw from Williams, a lay-up from Birthwright and a free throw from Barrett to get within 49-48 with 1:10 remaining.

The Dolphins were then gifted a foul by a Saint Rose player at midcourt with six seconds left and Andrade made one of her two foul shots to put the Dolphins back in front.
After Saint Rose called timeout and advanced the ball to the 28-foot mark, Barrett scored the winning basket from the left block with 0.3 seconds left after taking a feed from Stowe.
