Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Le Moyne College softball team opened its season with two wins on Wednesday afternoon at the Fast Pitch Dreams Tourney. The Dolphins opened with a 2-1 victory over Seton Hill University and then registered a 9-0 win over Union College in five innings.
Following five scoreless innings against Seton Hill, the Dolphins scored the only runs they would need on three hits and an error in the top of the sixth. Sophomore center fielder
Sabrina Riley (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) led off the frame with a single to right field and then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Junior right fielder
Kirsten Trotta (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. Dupont) followed with a single to right field to drive in Riley. Senior catcher

Seton Hill scored one run in the bottom of the seventh, but left the tying run stranded at second base. With two outs, pitcher Amanda Huff doubled to center field. Third baseman Ashley Perillo followed with another double to center to drive in pinch-runner Paige Kovalchik, but was left at second on a ground out.

Cara Cawley (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) singled to left field to drive in Malarkey. Following the inning's second out and a walk by Case to load the bases, Dreher scored on a passed ball. After Trotta drew a walk to load the bases again, Riley drove in sophomore pinch-runner
