Erica Geremia (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee/SUNY Cortland) broke the program's single-season points record with six points, including the go-ahead and game-winning goals, to lead the second-seeded and fourth-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to an 11-8 victory over third-seeded and fifth-ranked University of New Haven on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at Adelphi University's Motamed Field.
Le Moyne (17-2) advances to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship game for the fourth time in its five seasons in the Northeast-10. As with the previous three championship games, the Dolphins will take on top-seeded and second-ranked Adelphi on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Geremia, the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, tallied the first two goals of the game. She started the scoring with her 62nd goal of the season at the 27:36 mark and then doubled her team's lead 74 seconds later. With the second goal, Geremia eclipsed the program's single-season points' record with her 107th point of the year. The previous record of 106 was set by Brittany Brigandi '12 during the 2011 season. Amari Pollard (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) netted her 44th goal of the campaign 15 seconds later after taking a pass from senior midfielder

The Chargers held the Dolphins scoreless over the next 20 minutes, while scoring three goals in the span to knot the score at three apiece. Ashley Travis got New Haven on the scoreboard with 20:07 left by converting a free-position shot. Northeast-10 Midfielder of the Year Kathryn Campbell pulled the Chargers within one by scoring off a free-position shot with 12:02 to play. Just under four minutes later, Nicole Belanger recorded her 29th goal off a feed from Caitlin O'Brien.
Le Moyne regained the lead with 5:12 left in the first half as junior attacker
Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) tallied her 25th goal of the campaign.
The teams went into the intermission knotted at four apiece as Campbell registered her 51st goal of the season with 1:30 left.
Campbell gave the Chargers their only lead of the game 40 seconds into the second half with an unassisted goal.
The Dolphins answered back with three straight goals to regain the lead. Sophomore midfielder
Molly McGuane (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) tied the score at five with 27:27 left after taking a pass from Geremia, who put the Dolphins in front for good 58 seconds later with an unassisted marker. Monnat pushed the margin to 7-5 with an extra-man goal with 22:02 remaining after collected a pass from Geremia.
Courtney Ackland pulled the Chargers within 7-6 with 21:44 left, but freshman attacker
Abbie McEntee (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) responded with her 16th goal 27 seconds later off a feed from McGuane.
Following 11 minutes of scoreless action, Travis trimmed New Haven's deficit to one with 10:05 remaining off a pass from Campbell.
Le Moyne put the game away with three goals over a span of 4:14. Geremia started the run with her conference-best 65th goal of the season in an extra-man situation with 6:20 remaining. Just 73 seconds later, sophomore attacker
Alexis Garbarino (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) found the back of the net for the sixth time to get the Dolphins into double digits. She finished off Le Moyne's scoring with 2:06 left after taking a pass from senior attacker

O'Brien completed the game's scoring with 1:48 left off a feed from Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year Brittany Ast.
Marbut finished the game with four saves to earn her 17th victory of the season between the pipes, the second-most in the program's history. Alyssa Gianotti made six saves in the loss for the Chargers.
