Rochester, N.Y. – Junior outside hitter
Natalie Casson (Kingman, Ariz./Kingman) registered her second straight double-double to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Roberts Wesleyan College on Friday night in non-conference action at the Voller Athletic Center.
The Dolphins recorded six of the last eight points of the opening set to take a 1-0 lead in the match with a 27-25 victory, which was capped by back-to-back kills by Casson. Le Moyne doubled its lead in the match by tallying an 11-6 run to close out a 25-18 win in the second set. The teams went back and forth in the third set with the Dolphins putting the match away with a 25-23 win.
Casson registered 10 kills and 12 digs for her team-best sixth double-double of the season. Freshman right side
Jessica Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) hit .381 en route to posting a team-high 11 kills, while adding a career-high five blocks. Sophomore setter
Kendall Corcoran (Fort Salonga, N.Y./Kings Park) directed the offense with 33 assists, while contributing six digs, four service aces and three kills. Freshman libero
Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) led the defense with 16 digs.
Kate Steger led the Redhawks in the loss with a match-high 14 kills. Courtney Taylor recorded a double-double with 11 kills and a team-best 14 digs. Elisabeth Rivera controlled the offense with 28 assists, while Rebekah Sanchez and Olivia Zureck led the defense with 13 and 11 digs, respectively.
Le Moyne (10-3), which has won three straight matches, returns to Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday at American International College at 7:00 p.m.
