VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS STONEHILL, 3-0

Easton, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Natalie Casson (Kingman, Ariz./Kingman) registered 11 kills to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Stonehill College on Friday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Merkert Gymnasium.

The Dolphins opened the match by rallying from a 20-16 deficit in the first set to register a 25-23 victory. Le Moyne doubled its lead in the match with a 25-19 win in the second set after jumping out to a 15-9 lead. The Dolphins overcame an 18-15 deficit in the third set with a 10-2 closing run for a 25-20 victory.

Casson tallied four kills in each of the first two sets, while adding nine digs in the match, including six in the first set. Sophomore right side Jessica Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) also posted four kills in each of the opening two sets en round to nine kills. Junior setter Kendall Corcoran (Fort Salonga, N.Y./Kings Park), the reigning Northeast-10 Setter of the Week, directed the offense with 34 assists, while adding eight digs and three kills. Sophomore libero Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa), the reigning Northeast-10 Libero of the Week, led the Dolphins defensively with 22 digs, including 11 in the second set.

Markay Nasby led the Skyhawks in the loss with 11 kills, including five in the first set. Taylor Stevens registered a double-double of 27 assists and 11 digs, while posting two blocks. Ashley Hitchcock led the Skyhawks defensively with 12 digs, while adding six kills. Claire Manuszak and Rachel Dunlavy each tallied 10 digs in the contest.

Le Moyne (18-5, 8-2 NE-10), which has won 18 of its first 23 matches for the first time in the program's history, is back in action on Saturday at Bentley University at 1:00 p.m.
