Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior outside hitter
Andrea Buchanan (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) registered nine kills to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Merrimack College on Friday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Court.
The Dolphins scored the first four points of the match en route to jumping out to a 12-4 lead in the first set. After the Warriors pulled within 19-15, the Dolphins tallied four straight points and six of the last seven points for a 25-16 win. Merrimack held the lead for the majority of the second set before the Dolphins ran off six of the last seven points again for a 25-22 victory. Le Moyne scored the first six points of the third set and 12 of the first 13 on its way to a 25-9 win in the third set to close out the match.
Buchanan hit .444 in the match and recorded five of her match-best nine kills in the opening set. Sophomore right side
Jessica Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) tallied eight kills, three blocks and a pair of service aces. With her first of seven kills in the match, senior outside hitter
Natalie Casson (Kingman, Ariz./Kingman) became the sixth player in the program's history to register at least 300 kills in multiple seasons and is the first to do it since head coach

Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) tallied a match-best 13 digs, nine of which came in the second set. With her second dig of the match, she eclipsed her own single-season program record with her 532nd dig of the year.
Juliette McCall led the Warriors in the match with seven kills, while Catherine Flaherty and Jennifer Cain each recorded six kills. Tara Stuhr handed out 23 assists and added five digs and three kills. Amanda Cain led the team defensively with 10 digs.
Le Moyne (20-5, 10-2 NE-10), which clinched a home game in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship for the second straight year, honored its senior class of Buchanan, Casson,
Mackenzie Marple (Covington, Pa./Wellsboro) and
Maura Fay (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall) before the match for their contributions to the program. The Dolphins are back in action next Friday at Saint Michael's College at 5:00 p.m.
