WOMEN’S SOCCER UPENDED BY PACE, 3-0, IN NORTHEAST-10 SEMIFINALS

Pleasantville, N.Y. – Pace University got goals from three players en route to a 3-0 win over the Le Moyne College women's soccer team in the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals on Friday night at Pace Stadium.

The Dolphins finish the season with a 9-8-2 record and appeared in the conference semifinals for the first time in the program's 21 seasons in the conference.

After each team recorded four shots over the opening 11 minutes of the game, including two shots by each team that needed to be saved, the Setters scored the only goal they would need. Delany Williams sent a cross from the endline on the right side in front of the net, where it was headed by Shannon Glenn inside the left post at the 13:11 mark for her first goal of the year.

Each team put two shots on goal over the remaining 30 minutes of the half, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.

After the Dolphins recorded a 5-3 edge in shots over the first 24 minutes of the second half, Pace doubled its lead. Off a corner kick by Victoria Kealy, Ashley Kenny headed the ball into the net at the 69:58 mark for her second tally of the season.

The Setters finished off the game's scoring with 3:29 remaining. Robyn Seward sent a pass from midfield to Alyssa Zeoli, who went in one-on-one with the goalkeeper before slipping a shot into the right side of the net.

Sophomore goalkeeper Anastasija Cumika (Riga, Latvia/Riga Kengarags/West Florida) recorded four first half saves in the setback for the Dolphins. Hayley Pascoal tallied four saves in the first half for the Setters to earn the win, while Aisha Chauhan turned away four shots in the second half. Each team took 15 shots and four corner kicks.
