Sophomore second baseman Tess Andrews (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) drew a walk to open the inning and was replaced at first by senior pinch-runner Meagan Malarkey (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott/Broome C.C.). After a pitching change, a hit batter and a strikeout, freshman pinch-hitter Madison DeRita (Higganum, Conn./Mercy) reached on a fielder's choice to put runners on the corners. Case followed with a triple to drive in Malarkey and DeRita. Freshman left fielder Lauren Floyd (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) then singled to plate Case.

Senior righty Toni Secreti (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Westhill/Herkimer C.C.) earned her second win of the season in the circle after scattering five hits and yielding just the one run. Riley finished the game with three hits, while Floyd had two in her first career start. Casey Thompson took the loss after giving up two runs on four hits over three-plus innings.

In Le Moyne's second game of the day, Lock Haven scored one run in the first without getting a hit. Shortstop Jessica Strouse walked to open the game, moved to second on a groundout and then advanced to third on a wild pitch. First baseman McKenna Garlock then grounded out to second to drive in Strouse.

The Dolphins answered with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the first. Case walked to start the inning and moved to second on a single by senior left fielder Allison Reynolds (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield). Riley followed with a double to knock in Case and Reynolds. After a pair of outs, sophomore pitcher Alexis Eastman (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) singled to plate Riley.

Le Moyne added three runs on two hits and one Lock Haven error in the third inning. Reynolds led off with an infield single and then beat the throw to second as Riley reached on a fielder's choice. Senior right fielder Kirsten Trotta (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. Dupont) then reached on an error by the second baseman on a sacrifice bunt attempt, which allowed Reynolds to race around to score. After Trotta stole second, junior third baseman Kelly Mascari (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Buffalo) singled to drive in Riley and Trotta for a 6-1 lead.
