Fazio netted her team-best 16th goal of the season with 28:03 left after collecting a pass from Monnat, who then gave the Dolphins a 4-0 lead with 25:26 remaining off a pass from Fazio. Clarissa Perry (Sackets Harbor, N.Y./South Jefferson) converted a free-position shot with 23:56 left to cap the run.
American International responded with the next three goals over a span of 9:15. Cheyenne Carden got the Yellow Jackets on the scoreboard at the 19:08 mark. Jessica Lawler made the score 5-2 with 11:20 left off a free-position shot. Carden then converted a free-position shot with 9:53 left for her 15th goal of the season.
