HALFTIME-SPANNING RUN PROPELS SECOND-RANKED WOMEN’S LACROSSE TO 17-7 WIN AT SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE

Manchester, N.H. – Freshman attacker Bryanna Fazio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) tied her career high with six points to lead the second-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 17-7 win at Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Larkin Field.

Fazio found the back of the net three times and dished out an assist in the opening 10 minutes as the Dolphins jumped out to a 4-1 lead. She started the scoring at the 27:17 mark after taking a pass from senior attacker Maggie Monnat (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker). Just under one and one-half minutes later, she finished off a feed from senior attacker Erica Geremia (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee/SUNY Cortland). Southern New Hampshire got on the scoreboard with 24:44 left as Casey Duggan scored off a pass from Alexa Bedell. Fazio answered back 44 seconds later with her 19th goal of the season off a feed from junior attacker Alexis Garbarino (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell). Just over three minutes later, Fazio sent a pass to Geremia for her 14th goal of the campaign.

The Penmen tallied three of the next four goals to pull within 5-4 with 9:53 left. Bedell started the run with a free-position goal with 17:51 left. Just under five minutes later, Alexa Allen netted a free-position goal of her own to make the score 4-3. Sophomore attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) countered with her first goal of the season with 10:36 left after taking a pass from Monnat in an extra-player situation. Bedell made it a one-goal game for the final time with another free-position goal with 9:53 left in the half.

Four different players scored over the final eight and one-half minutes as the Dolphins took a 9-4 lead into the intermission. Pardee ignited the run by finishing off a feed from Monnat with 8:38 to go. Just 39 seconds later, Geremia tickled the twine after accepting a pass from Pardee. Fazio made it 8-4 with 5:59 left, while freshman midfielder Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) tallied her fifth goal of the year with 4:16 remaining.

After the teams traded goals in the opening two and one-half minutes of the second half, the Dolphins rattled off five straight goals in a span of 6:02. Sophomore midfielder Abbie McEntee (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) got the scoring started in the half with her fifth goal of the year just 24 seconds into the period after taking a pass from Monnat. After Ellen Decker scored for the Penmen, McEntee scored again off a pass from Fazio with 25:59 left. Just 45 seconds later, Monnat tallied her 14th goal of the season. Garbarino pushed Le Moyne's lead to eight with a free-position goal with 24:05 remaining. Just 19 seconds later, junior defender Vicki Graveline (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) scored for the third straight game after taking a pass from freshman midfielder Kasi Cabrey (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) in an extra-player situation. Garbarino capped the streak and extended the margin to double-digits with 19:57 left after taking a feed from Geremia.
