Longmeadow, Mass. – The Le Moyne College men's tennis team registered its first Northeast-10 Conference victory of the season by defeating American International College, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Meadows Indoor Courts.
In doubles action, junior
James Gayvert (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) and sophomore
Hallam Doney (Andover, Hampshire/Peter Symonds) recorded an 8-5 win at the top spot over James Worrall and Ricardo Martinez. Redshirt senior

Benjamin Spoor (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) were 8-0 winners over Luis Gouveia and Johno May at second doubles, while freshman
Tyler Underwood (Minoa, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) and
Steven Procopio (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) defeated Michael Schulze and Andrew DeBrincat, 8-0, at the third spot.
At first singles, Gayvert improved to 2-1 in conference action with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Worrall. In the closest match of the day, Doney earned his third straight win and team-best fifth of the year by rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory over Martinez at the second spot. Legris defeated Gouveia at the third spot, 6-3, 6-1, for his third straight win, while Spoor cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles over May for third consecutive victory. Underwood earned his third straight win by defeating Schulze, 6-2, 6-0, at the fifth position, while Procopio registered a 6-0, 6-0 win at the sixth spot over Patrick Agit.
Le Moyne (3-6, 1-2 NE-10) returns to action on Tuesday against Adelphi University at 12:30 p.m. at the Gold's Gym in Liverpool.
