Pleasantville, N.Y. – Victoria Kealy scored with 16 minutes remaining to lead Pace University to a 2-1 win over the Le Moyne College women's soccer team in the Northeast-10 Conference regular season finale for both teams on Saturday evening at Pace Stadium.
The Dolphins finish the season with a record of 7-10, including a mark of 6-8 in conference action. Despite the Dolphins recording a 5-3 advantage in shots over the opening 38 minutes, including 3-1 in shots on goal, Pace scored the game's first goal. After taking a pass from Annabella Campagna, Leah Krinker tallied her first goal of the season at the 38:25 mark.
Le Moyne started the second half with a 5-3 shot advantage again, but this time, the Dolphins got on the scoreboard with the half's ninth shot. After a pass from the right side bounced around in the middle of the penalty box, freshman midfielder
Elizabeth Maguire (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) knocked the loose ball into the back of the net at the 64:54 mark for her first collegiate goal.
Following two Pace shots that needed to be saved and a Le Moyne shot that was saved, the Setters scored the game-winning goal. Off a pass by Mackenzie Kurek from the left side, Kealy scored into the right side of the net at the 74:00 mark for her seventh tally of the year.
Le Moyne registered three shots on goal in the final 15:40, but could not push a shot across the goal line.
