WOMEN’S TENNIS TALLIES 7-2 VICTORY OVER SAINT ROSE

Albany, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis team won its fourth straight match with a 7-2 victory over The College of Saint Rose on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference play at the UAlbany Tennis Courts.

The Dolphins jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition. The Dolphins earned their first point of the afternoon at the third position as sophomore Kim Driesen (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and Mackenzie Aiello (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) won by default due to the Golden Knights being unable to fill the position. Sophomore Cameron Aiello (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) and freshman Caroline St. Antoine (Longueuil, Québec/Cégep Édouard-Montpetit) teamed at the second spot to register an 8-0 win over Wendella Wilson and Lindsey Skouras. The Golden Knights picked up the point at the first position as Averie Bowen and KeriAnn Mahoney edged freshmen Marta Nunez (Rye, N.Y./Antonio Lopez (Spain)) and Camila Humala (Lima, Peru/Antonio Raimondi), 8-6
 
Le Moyne claimed five of the six matches in the singles competition. The Dolphins took a 3-1 lead in the match as Cameron Aiello won by default at the sixth position. At the second spot, Nunez earned her team-best sixth conference victory of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Mahoney. Humala swept Wilson at the third position, 6-0, 6-0, to earn her fourth consecutive victory. Driesen was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Skouras at the fourth spot for her second win of the year, while Mackenzie Aiello posted back-to-back scores of 6-2 to defeat Vivian Leung the fifth position. Bowen registered Saint Rose's second point of the day by rallying for a 1-6, 6-3, 10-7 win at the top spot over St. Antoine.
 
Le Moyne (6-2, 5-2 NE10) steps out of conference action on Thursday to visit Roberts Wesleyan College at 4:00 p.m.
