BASEBALL TOPS EAST STROUDSBURG, 7-4, AFTER FALLING TO POST, 4-2

Holly Springs, N.C. – Sophomore shortstop/pitcher Josiah Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) smacked a go-ahead home run in the sixth and struck out the final four batters to lead the Le Moyne College baseball team to a 7-4 win over East Stroudsburg University on Saturday evening at the North Main Athletics Complex. The Dolphins fell to Post University, 4-2, in their first game of the day.

The Dolphins opened the scoring against East Stroudsburg with three runs on two hits and one error in the third inning. Junior left fielder JT Pittman (Ashland, Mass./Ashland/Bridgton Academy) reached on a passed ball to start the frame and advanced to second on a single to left field by redshirt sophomore third baseman/pitcher/shortstop Ben Walsh (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill). After a hit batsman to load the bases, freshman second baseman Brian O'Mara (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) singled down the right field line to plate Pittman and Walsh. Redshirt senior right fielder Mark Martin (Sauquoit, N.Y./Sauquoit Valley/Bryant) then scored on a throwing error on a pickoff attempt of O'Mara.
