GRAVELINE RECORDS 10 POINTS AS THIRD-RANKED WOMEN’S LACROSSE TOPS AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL, 21-9

Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior midfielder Vicki Graveline (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) registered a career-high 10 points to lead the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 21-9 victory over American International College on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

Graveline accumulated her 10 points on career-highs of four goals and six assists, while also adding six ground balls and four caused turnovers. She is the seventh player in the program's history to record at least 10 points in a game. With her third caused turnover of the game, Graveline broke the program's career caused turnover record of 103 set by Katlin Walker '11 from 2008-11.

Graveline opened the game's scoring just 22 seconds into the game with an unassisted tally. Freshman midfielder Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) followed 50 seconds later with her fourth goal of the year.

The Yellow Jackets countered with the next two goals to even the score. Brittany Hutchison got her team on the scoreboard at the 27:01 mark after taking a pass from Abigail Cavallo. Mikayla Demanche then tied the score with her sixth goal of the season with 25:14 left in the half.

Le Moyne rattled off the next seven goals, over a span of five minutes, to take control of the game. Freshman attacker Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) won the draw after Demanche's goal and scored four seconds later to put the Dolphin in front. Junior attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) recorded her first of five goals on the day 20 seconds later. Pardee found the back of the net again with 21:11 left in the half after taking a pass from Hall. Graveline put the Dolphins up 6-2 with 20:33 left by converting a free-position shot and Pardee followed 33 seconds later with her eighth goal of the year.

The teams then traded goals over the next 10 minutes. Stefanie Dufresne ended Le Moyne's run with an unassisted goal at the 18:05 mark, but sophomore attacker Maddie Knapp (Watertown, N.Y./South Jefferson) countered 17 seconds later by finishing off a pass from Graveline. Jessica Lawler pulled the Yellow Jackets within 8-4 with her third goal of the year with 16:48 remaining in the half off a pass from Hutchison in an extra-player situation. Graveline pushed the margin back to five with 9:52 left with her third goal of the day. Demanche finished off her team's scoring in the half with 8:57 to go.

The Dolphins scored the final two goals of the half to take an 11-5 lead into the intermission. Graduate student midfielder Maggie Brown (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland), who scored 847 points over 112 games on the hardwood for the Dolphins, tallied her first career point on the field by finding the back of the net with 5:37 left. Sophomore defender Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) capped the half's scoring with her third goal of the year with 3:55 to go.

Le Moyne scored the first four goals of the second half to take its first double-digit lead. Pardee ignited the run after taking a pass from Graveline 1:45 into the period. Less than one minute later, Graveline fed senior attacker Alexis Garbarino (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) for her fourth goal of the season. Garbarino then netted an unassisted goal with 23:15 remaining. Redshirt freshman attacker Katie Kerner (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) capped the streak with her second goal of the year off a pass from freshman attacker Claire Herrmann (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg).

The Yellow Jackets cut their deficit back to eight with the next two goals. Cavallo scored her first goal of the year with 16:11 left and then Demanche tallied her eighth goal of the campaign 41 seconds later.

Graveline pushed the Le Moyne lead back to nine with 14:26 left, but Lawler answered 1:24 later. Senior midfielder Molly McGuane (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) finished off a pass from Graveline with 10:48 left to make the score 17-8. Riley Brennan completed her team's scoring 70 seconds later off a pass from Lawler.

Le Moyne tallied the final four goals of the contest to deliver the final score. Garbarino started the streak with an extra-player goal with 8:59 left off a pass from Graveline. Hall then converted a free-position shot with 7:48 to play for her fifth goal of the season. Pardee recorded her fifth goal of the game with 6:17 remaining for Le Moyne's 20th goal. Garbarino registered her career-best fourth goal of the game with 3:23 after collecting a pass from redshirt junior midfielder Nicole Easterly (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.).
