Syracuse, N.Y. – Junior attacker
Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) registered five points to lead the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to an 18-2 victory over Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.
The Dolphins opened the scoring with eight goals in the first 18:35 of the game. Just 45 seconds into the contest, Pardee tallied her 23rd goal of the season after taking a pass from junior attacker
Bryanna Fazio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown). Fazio, who returned to the lineup following a seven-game absence, doubled the lead at the 26:18 mark after collecting a feed from fellow sophomore attacker
Maddie Knapp (Watertown, N.Y./South Jefferson). The point marked the 100th of Fazio's career (in just her 25th game) and she becomes just the second player in the program's history to record her 100th point as a sophomore, joining fellow General Brown alum Whitney Vecchio '08. After causing a turnover, Pardee finished off a pass from Knapp, who scooped up the loose ball, to net the eventual game-winning goal with 22:32 left in the first half. Only 32 seconds later, Pardee tallied her third goal of the day off a feed from senior midfielder
Vicki Graveline (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee). Senior attacker
Alexis Garbarino (Endwell, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) increased the lead to five with an unassisted goal with 19:01 to go in the half. Just over four minutes later, Graveline registered her first goal of the day by converting a free-position shot. Pardee pushed the margin to seven with 11:58 left in the stanza following a pass from sophomore defender
Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford). Garbarino found the back of the net again 33 seconds later off a pass from Graveline.
Alex Vincent got the Purple Knights on the scoreboard with 10:31 remaining off a pass from Ellie Clark on a free-position attempt.
The Dolphins scored five times over the last 9:17 of the half to take a 13-1 lead into halftime. Senior midfielder
Molly McGuane (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) scored the first two goals of the run with the first coming on a free-position shot with 9:17 left, while the second came 62 seconds later. Freshman midfielder
Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) gave the Dolphins a double-digit lead with 6:55 remaining off a pass over the top of the goal from Pardee. Freshman attacker
Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) netted her 20t goal of the year with 2:31 to go, while senior midfielder
Nicole Easterly (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) finished off the scoring in the half with her second goal of the season with just under one minute left in the period.
Saint Michael's opened the scoring in the second half as Vincent finished off a pass at the 24:03 mark from Kealy Moyna.
Le Moyne's final five goals came from five different players over the last 21:47. Graveline pushed the lead back to 12 with her team-best 27th goal of the season with 21:47 to play. Sanna followed at the 18:25 mark with a free-position goal for her sixth tally of the campaign. She then fed Delany for her 19th goal with 16:11 remaining. Garbarino picked up her 16th marker of the year with 7:24 left after taking a feed from freshman attacker
Claire Herrmann (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg), who also assisted on the game's final goal, which was scored by junior attacker
Emily Martin (Delmar, N.Y./Albany Academy).
Freshman goalkeeper
Hannah George (Johnson City, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) registered her 11th victory of the season between the pipes after making seven saves. Grace Gunning turned away eight shots in the setback, all of which came in the first half.
Le Moyne (11-0, 8-0 NE10), which has won 17 straight home games, returns to action on Friday at Merrimack College at 12:00 p.m.
