Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman
Haley Synan (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) registered three first-place finishes to lead the Le Moyne College women's swimming and diving team to a 128-103 win over Nazareth College on Friday evening at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Pool. The men fell to the Golden Flyers, 134-105.
The quartet of seniors
Kelsey Smith (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley),
Annie Steve (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) and
Alyssa Baker (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) and sophomore
Jamie Alexander (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:53.15.
Synan captured her first win of the night in the 1000-yard freestyle by over 15 seconds with a time of 11:14.07. She later was victorious in the 200-yard IM by over two seconds with a time of 2:17.24. Her third victory came in the 100-yard butterfly, where she won by 0.24 seconds with a time of 1:01.37.
Sophomore
Haley Decker (Vernon, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) turned in two victories on the evening. She won the 200-yard freestyle by over 5.5 seconds by posting a time of 2:01.91. She also claimed the 500-yard freestyle by over 9.5 seconds with a time of 5:28.09.
Smith also claimed a pair of victories on the evening. She registered a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke by over four seconds by touching the wall in 1:00.35. She closed out the individual portion of the meet by winning the 100-yard breaststroke by one second in 1:07.81.

Nicholas Buff (Latham, N.Y./Shaker),
Michael Dierolf (Pennsburg, Pa./Quakertown) and
Matthew Walton (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) and senior
Travis May (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane) started off the men's portion of the meet by claiming the 200-yard medley relay in 1:37.68.
Freshman
Austin Richardson (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) won the 1000-yard freestyle by over nine seconds by touching the wall in 10:14.20.
Senior
Andy Raiola (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) topped the field in the 200-yard freestyle by almost three seconds with a time of 1:47.12.
May earned the win in the 100-yard butterfly by over two seconds with a time of 51.71 seconds.

Nathan Gdula (Warners, N.Y./West Genesee) to win the meet-ending 200-yard freestyle relay in a season-best 1:27.96.

Pat McCormick) prior to the beginning of the meet, close out the regular season next Saturday at SUNY Cortland at 1:00 p.m.
