MEN'S AND WOMENS'S SWIM & DIVE TEAMS CLOSE OUT NEC CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH FOUR PODIUM FINISHES, ONE SCHOOL RECORD, MULTIPLE YEAR-END AWARDS

Geneva, O.H. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished out the 2026 NEC Championships on Friday night. The women's squad closed out the event with 334 points to place fifth while the men's team finished in third place with 684.5 points through four days.

At the conclusion of the event, sophomore Louis Allison (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) was named an NEC Co-Outstanding Diver of the Year while Le Moyne's staff was named the NEC Diving Coaching Staff of the Year, as well.

Women's Squad:
Freshman Sophia Stinnett (Hillsborough, N.C. / Cedar Ridge) took 10th place in the 1650-yard freestyle and finished at the 18:04.68 point.

Junior Madeleine O'Dea (Milton, O.N./Milton District) earned her second podium finish of the championships and set a new school record, placing second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.40.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of senior Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland), sophomore Kaiya Fraley (Watervliet N.Y. / Shaker), sophomore Shannon Swezey (Bayport, N.Y. / Bayport-Blue Point), and junior Kayleigh Bigwarfe (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem) closed out the meet with a seventh place finish in the event, coming in at 3:36.44.

Men's Team:
Freshman John Mummery (New Windsor, N.Y. / Newburgh) opened the meet with a sixth place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle at the 16:37.16 mark.

Freshman Owen Daniels (Rhinebeck, N.Y. / Redhook) earned a podium finish in the 200-yard backstroke, placing third with a time of 1:48.72.

Sophomore Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) and freshman Neil Adamski (Manlius, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius) both earned a podium spot with times of 1:58.54 and 2:00.26 in the 200-yard breaststroke to finish in second and third places. 

Sophomore Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N. / John McCrae) finished at the 1:50.27 mark in the 200-yard butterfly event to take third place. Sophomore Jack Milligan (East Islip, N.Y. / East Islip) finished four spots later in seventh with a time of 1:54.75.

The 400-yard relay team of sophomore Michael White Jr. (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker), Pilieci, junior Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y. / Hilton), and Clay took fourth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:02.02.
