Mansfield, Mass. – Former Le Moyne College men's swimming standout Will Chidsey '06 has been selected to the Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2026, as announced by the conference office.
The most decorated student-athlete in the program's history, Chidsey the sixth Le Moyne student-athlete (third male) to be elected to the NE10 Hall of Fame and the first men's swimming member to earn the honor. He is only the second men's swimming student-athlete in the Conference's history to be tabbed to the Hall of Fame.
A 2017 inductee into the Le Moyne Gold Wave Hall of Fame and an all-American each of his four years, Chidsey earned a total of 12 all-America honors during his time on the Heights, including first team recognition five times. In addition to his national honors, Chidsey was a 10-time Northeast 10 Conference champion individually. The 2006 Rev. J. J. O'Brien Senior Achievement Award co-recipient, he still holds three individual school records, two relay records and two individual pool records.
In his first career appearance at the NCAA Championships, he placed fifth as a freshman in the 100-yard backstroke.
As a sophomore, he earned his first career national medal by placing third in the 100-yard backstroke, while also finishing 10th in the 50-yard freestyle to collect honorable mention all-America accolades for the first time.
He picked up first team all-America honors in a pair of events as a junior, while also earning honorable mention all-America recognition in a third event. He registered his third career top-six finish in the 100-backstroke by placing sixth and turned in an eighth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, while touching the wall 13th in the 200-yard backstroke.
He closed out his career by recording six all-America finishes as a senior with one first team placement and five honorable mention finishes. Individually, he placed sixth in the 100-yard freestyle, ninth in the 100-yard backstroke and 12th in the 50-yard freestyle. He was also part of Le Moyne's first three relay teams to place at the national championships. The 200-yard freestyle relay placed 12th, the 200-yard medley relay finished 15th and the 400-yard medley relay touched 16th.
Chidsey will be honored by the Conference during an on-campus event during the 2026-27 season.
