Syracuse, N.Y. – Three players registered double-doubles to lead American International College to a 3-1 win over the Le Moyne College volleyball team in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday night at Ted Grant Court.
American International took a 1-0 lead in the match by winning the first set, 25-21. After the Dolphins rallied from a 23-19 deficit in the second set to take a 24-23 lead, the Yellow Jackets held off set point four times en route to a 31-29 win. After trailing 22-20 in the third set, the Dolphins scored five straight points for a 25-20 win to stay alive in the match. After the teams split the first 14 points in the fourth set, American International rattled off five straight points and 11 of the next 13 en route to a 25-14 win to close out the match.

Jessica Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) registered her fourth double-double of the season with 15 kills, including eight in the second set, and a career high-tying 12 digs. Senior outside hitter
Marguerite Dillon (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) recorded 11 kills, including five in the third set. Sophomore setter
Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) dished out 48 assists and had eight digs. Senior libero
Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) led the Dolphins defensively with 16 digs, including seven in the third set.
Jana Potic led the Yellow Jackets with a double-double of 21 kills, including eight in the fourth set, and 13 digs, including seven in the third set. Andrea Serra tallied a double-double of 20 kills, including six in each of the first two sets, and 15 digs, including five in each of the second and third sets, while adding three assists and two service aces. Diva Rivas-Reyes turned in 15 kills, including six in the second set, and five blocks. Dolores Kopren registered a double-double of 53 assists and 18 digs, including seven in the fourth set, while adding four blocks. Evelyn Lopez and Amanda Rodriguez posted 18 and 10 digs, respectively.
Le Moyne (10-9, 2-7 NE10) remains home to host Merrimack College on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
