Syracuse, N.Y. – Three players each recorded double-digit kills as the Le Moyne College volleyball team registered a 3-0 victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Friday night at Ted Grant Court.
The Dolphins (14-9, 6-7 NE10) close out the season on Saturday against Southern New Hampshire University at 12:00 p.m. Prior to the match, the senior class will be honored by the Dolphin Athletic Association for their contributions to the program.
After the teams split the first 12 points of the match, the Dolphins used a 6-1 run to take control of the opening set, which they closed out with a 7-1 run for a 25-14 win. The Dolphins used runs of 5-1, 5-0 and 4-1 en route to a 25-15 victory in the second set for a 2-0 lead in the match. After the Ravens took a 4-3 lead in the third set, the Dolphins rattled off seven straight points and 14 of the next 16 for an 11-point lead. Following a 3-0 spurt by the Ravens, Le Moyne used a pair of 4-0 runs to close out the set with a 25-10 win.

Jessica Miller (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) registered her fifth double-double of the year with 12 kills, including four in each set, and a career-high 13 digs, including eight in the first set. With her ninth kill of the match, Miller passed Jessica Burns '04 for fourth on the program's career kills chart with her 1222nd. She enters her 107th and final career match one kill behind Lindsey Fattey '06 for the second-most in the program's history. With her second block of the match, which made the score 15-6 in the third set, Miller became the ninth player in the program's history to record 200 career blocks. She and Jenny Wilson '99 (1039 and 284) are the only Dolphins in the program's history with at least 1,000 kills and 200 blocks. Junior middle blocker
Jacquelyne Ghindia (Mission Viejo, Calif./Santa Margarita) hit .579 en route to landing 12 kills, six of which came in the first set. Freshman outside hitter
Mary Talty (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) posted 11 kills on a .450 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter
Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) dished out 40 assists and had nine digs, three kills and two block assists. Senior libero
Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) totaled 10 digs, including five in the third set.
Cierra Dolan led the Ravens in the loss with seven kills, three of which came in the first set. Lauren Herrera directed the offense with 11 assists, while adding five digs. Brittney Carias led the Ravens defensively with 14 digs.
