SECOND-RANKED MEN’S LACROSSE REGISTERS 18-5 WIN OVER ROBERTS WESLEYAN

Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior attackman Justin Kesselring (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) registered his second straight seven-point performance to lead the second-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to an 18-5 win over Roberts Wesleyan College on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at Ted Grant Field.

Following six minutes of scoreless action to start the game, the Dolphins got on the scoreboard first as sophomore attackman Jake Lewis (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia/Cleveland State) picked up a loose ball and fired it into the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season. After a Roberts Wesleyan turnover, Kesselring tallied his first goal of the game at the 7:24 mark after taking a pass from junior midfielder Dan Entenmann (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn). Kesselring gave the Dolphins a 3-0 lead by scoring just seconds after the shot clock was put on after collecting a pass from sophomore midfielder Riley Larson (Fairfield, Conn./Ludlowe).

Le Moyne blew the game open with the first eight goals of the second quarter. Kesselring scored at the 11:38 mark off a feed from Entenmann, while sophomore midfielder Ross Filtch (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus/Siena) followed 18 seconds later after taking a pass from Lewis. Freshman attackman Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) found the back of the net 31 seconds later for a 6-0 lead.

Following four and one-half minutes of scoreless play, junior midfielder Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) netted an extra-man goal with 6:17 remaining off a pass from Kesselring, who picked up another assist 45 seconds later as Lewis scored again. Off the ensuing faceoff, Kesselring scored six seconds later off a pass from sophomore face-off specialist Joe Cerio (Enola, Pa./Elmira (Pa.)/Mercyhurst). Entenmann gave the Dolphins a 10-0 advantage with 4:34 left with an unassisted tally.

Just over 90 seconds later, senior midfielder Greg White (Buffalo, N.Y./Nichols School) finished off a pass from Andrews for his first goal of the season.

Kyle Dunham got the Redhawks on the scoreboard with 1:20 remaining in the half.

Freshman attackman Evan Kelly (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) completed the scoring in the first half with his first collegiate goal off a feed in transition from White.

The Dolphins extended their lead to 17-1 in the third quarter. Andrews started the scoring at the 10:51 mark by finishing off a pass from Lewis. Only eight seconds later, Kesselring netted an unassisted goal.

Following 5:38 of scoreless play, Larson recorded his fourth goal of the season. Just over one minute later, sophomore midfielder Matt Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) scored in an extra-man situation off a feed from Entenmann. White finished off the quarter's scoring 38 seconds later after collecting a pass from Kelly.

John Wellington got the Redhawks within 17-2 with 11:15 remaining in the fourth quarter, while Hunter Lemieux followed with his 16th goal of the season with 6:37 left off a pass from Cody Menzies.
