Camillo Spinoso (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy/George Washington) lifted a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth inning as the 22nd-ranked Le Moyne College baseball team rallied for a 6-4 win over Adelphi University on Friday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division action at William J. Bonomo Field.
The Dolphins opened the game's scoring in the first inning as redshirt junior first baseman
Andrew Taft (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton/Buffalo) blasted an 0-1 pitch over the fence in right field for his NE10-best ninth home run of the season.
Adelphi took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third inning. After third baseman Brett Malm worked a seven-pitch walk with two outs and stole second, first baseman Thomas Colombo homered to right field for a 2-1 lead.
The Panthers extended their lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh with two runs on two hits. Second baseman Stephen Withers walked to start the frame and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Malm then singled and advanced to second on an error, which allowed Withers to score. Colombo followed with a single to right field to drive in Malm.
Le Moyne responded with four runs on three hits in the top of the eighth to take the lead back. Taft led off with a double to right center, junior designated hitter
Nick Place (Towanda, Pa./Towanda) drew a walk and senior center fielder
JT Pittman (Ashland, Mass./Ashland/Bridgton Academy) followed with a single to right field to load the bases. Redshirt junior shortstop
Ben Walsh (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) then tripled down the right field line to clear the bases and tie the score at four. Following a pitching change, Spinoso flied out to center to knock in Walsh from third with the go-ahead run.

Brian O'Mara (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) walked on four pitches to start the frame, stole second with one out and advanced to third on a groundout by Taft. Place then singled to left to knock in O'Mara.
Junior righty
Josiah Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) improved to 6-0 on the season after striking out five batters over seven innings, while yielding four runs (three earned) on seven hits. Senior righty
Alex Kubera (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk/Niagara C.C.) earned his second save of the season after tossing the final two innings and striking out one. Taft and Walsh each recorded three hits in the game, while Spinoso recorded two hits. Ed Baram took the loss after giving up five runs over seven-plus innings, while striking out 10.
Le Moyne (17-6, 3-0 NE10, 1-0 SW) continues its series with the Panthers on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m.
