THIRD-RANKED WOMEN’S LACROSSE EXTENDS NE10 WIN STREAK TO 24 WITH 18-3 VICTORY AT SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE

New Haven, Conn. – Three Dolphins recorded hat tricks as the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team registered an 18-3 victory over Southern Connecticut State University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Jess Dow Field.

The Dolphins, who have outscored the Owls, 154-44, over eight meetings, scored each of the first half's 13 goals. Freshman attacker Emily Altland (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) started the scoring 20 seconds into the contest. Sophomore attacker Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) doubled the lead 2:03 later with her 31st goal of the season. Just 27 seconds later, junior attacker Madison Pritchard (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Onondaga C.C./Canisius) finished off a pass from Altland for her seventh tally of the year. Junior attacker Bryanna Fazio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) pushed the lead to 4-0 with 25:41 left in the half with her 40th goal of the campaign after collecting a pass from Pritchard.

Sophomore midfielder Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) registered her 33rd goal of the season with 23:33 remaining, while Altland followed with her second of the game 57 seconds later.

Following almost five minutes of scoreless play, Fazio recorded an extra-player goal after taking a feed from junior midfielder Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford).

Hall ignited a run of six goals over the final 11 minutes of the half with an unassisted tally at the 11:00 mark. Freshman midfielder Sydney Meagher (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) netted her fifth goal of the season with 8:31 left for a 9-0 lead. Hall pushed the lead into double digits with another unassisted goal with 6:18 to go in the half. Delany scored her second of the half with 4:37 left, while Fazio followed 57 seconds later with her third tally of the stanza. Freshman midfielder Brittney Pollack (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) netted her second career goal by converting a free-position shot with 40 seconds left.

Delany extended the scoring run to 14 with the first goal of the second half at the 27:53 mark.

The Owls got onto the scoreboard with 25:15 remaining as Samantha Cozzolino posted her 30th goal of the season.

Delany countered with her 36th goal of the campaign with 21:47 to play.

Carolynn Keal trimmed Southern Connecticut's deficit back to 13 with 19:07 remaining after taking a pass from Nicole Healey.

Freshman midfielder Jamie Peters (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) scored her first career goal with 16:09 to go off a free-position shot.

The alternating scoring continued at the 12:55 mark as Healey scored her 36th goal of the season off a pass from Megan Lawlor.

The Dolphins scored the final two goals of the contest. Redshirt senior midfielder Nicole Easterly (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) picked up her second goal of the year with 7:49 left after receiving a pass from freshman midfielder Brynne Lafave (Philadelphia, N.Y./Indian River). Senior attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) completed the game's scoring with her fourth goal of the year with 2:56 remaining.

Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah George (Johnson City, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) recorded three saves, including two in the second half, to earn the victory between the pipes. Laura Morton made 12 saves, including seven in the first half, in the setback.

Le Moyne (12-0, 8-0 NE10), which has won 24 straight NE10 games, returns home to host 14th-ranked Merrimack College on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
