Garden City, N.Y. – Kole Pollack scored four first-half goals to lead top-ranked Adelphi University to an 11-8 win over the third-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team in Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday evening at Motamed Field.

Freshman attacker Erin McMullen (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) got the Dolphins on the scoreboard first with her 37th goal of the year at the 26:10 mark off a feed from junior attacker Bryanna Fazio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown).

The Panthers answered with four straight goals to take control of the game. Pollack evened the score at one apiece with 19:36 left in the half by converting a free-position shot for her 60th goal of the season. Chelsea Abreu put the Panthers in front with 18:32 left off a pass in transition from Michele Scannell, a Tewaaraton Award nominee. Pollack extended the lead to 3-1 with 15:10 remaining after collecting a feed from Alison Johnson in an extra-player situation. Pollack capped the run with an unassisted tally with 12:53 to go in the half.

After being held scoreless for 20:25, the Dolphins cut their deficit to 4-2 with 5:45 left in the half as freshman attacker Emily Altland (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) converted a free-position shot for her 13th goal of the year.

Adelphi scored three times over the last 4:34 to take a 7-2 lead into halftime. Pollack started the stretch with her 63rd goal of the season with 4:34 to go. Christina Ferrara netted her 13th goal of the season with 3:02 remaining off a pass from Johnson, who capped the half's scoring with 22 seconds left in an extra-player situation.

Sophomore attacker Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) answered in an extra-player situation with 28:18 to go.

Scannell responded with her second goal of the half with 26:49 left to put the Panthers back up by six, 9-3.

Le Moyne countered with the next five goals to trim its deficit to just one. Junior midfielder Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) started the comeback with her 20th goal of the year with 25:05 left off a pass from Hall. Fazio made it 9-5 with 18:18 remaining after taking a feed from McMullen, who then scored 37 seconds later after collecting a pass from Hall. Junior midfielder Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) cut the deficit to 9-7 with 16:32 left off a pass from freshman midfielder Sydney Meagher (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport).
